What is Craniosacral Therapy (CST)?

Craniosacral Therapy stems from Cranial Osteopathy and works on the craniosacral system – the fluids and membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord as well as the entire nervous system. It is a subtle body treatment where your therapist will gently hold your cranium, spine and pelvis.

Craniosacral Therapy Cork

Craniosacral therapy  (CST) uses this gentle trained touch to perceive and respond to the subtle tidal motions of what’s known as ‘Primary Respiration’ in the body.  The Biodynamic Craniosacral model (BCST) emphasizes the body’s inherent ability to heal itself given the correct conditions.

Many conditions respond well to Craniosacral Therapy such as Digestive problems and IBS, headaches and migraines, joint and back pain, as well as emotional imbalances and stress.

Craniosacral therapy  does not advocate the use of any external force, making it extremely safe, gentle and non-invasive, therefore ideal for mothers and babies or during pregnancy.

Resting in stillness allows physical, mental and emotional knots to untangle.
